The seven-passenger Toyota Highlander hybrid was one of the first crossovers to balance suburban practicality with electrified efficiency when it debuted in [...]

Lundberg?s Dutch Courage
Week Eight of the iRacing.com V8 Supercar Series headed to the Dutch seaside and the Grand Prix configuration of Circuit Park Zandvoort. A fitting layout, since the real world had just seen the opening Grand Prix for 2011 in Australia. In fact, it was a miracle so many Aussie sim racers had time to qualify, in between being glued to their TVs or being trackside at Albert Park in Melbourne. In the end, local boy Mark Webber hadn’t fared so well in his home Grand Prix, so the sim racers were out in numbers to reclaim some national pride in Split One of Race One for the Monday night event. Planning to spoil this Aussie quest was Swedish hotshot Douglas Lundberg. Lundberg had been cutting his teeth in the iRacing [...]

One car for Austin at Brands Hatch
David Pinkney will be Rob Austin Racing's only representative at this weekend's British Touring Car Championship opener at Brands Hatch. The squad, which is making its BTCC debut this year, was not present at last week's official pre-season launch and test at Silverstone as its pair of Audi A4s were not ready. Austin's outfit has now taken over the build of the pair of rear-wheel drive NGTC machines, and will have the first car ready for Brands, according to the team boss.

Lotus satisfied with race pace
Lotus said it was very satisfied with its race pace in Melbourne, even though it did not achieve its aim of catching the more established midfield teams in the season opener. The team spent the Australian Grand Prix weekend back in the position it had occupied through 2010 - beating Virgin and Hispania, but not quick enough to challenge those ahead. But Lotus technical chief Mike Gascoyne said the signs from Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen's race performance were very encouraging.
